OUR APPROACH

A rigorous path to lasting Torah knowledge

We have begun with afternoon seder; a full morning–afternoon–evening program remains the goal.

OUR APPROACH

High standards. Individual responsibility.

The Kollel is built for avreichim who seek a lifetime of comprehensive Torah knowledge. A full four-hour seder, daily progress, punctuality and a meaningful commitment to review form the foundation of the program.

Rather than prescribing one identical review routine, we expect each avreich to develop an effective system suited to his strengths. Progress is measured through completion, chaburos, reviews and tests.

Four protected hoursSerious shemiras sedarim, with accountable daily presence.
A daf a dayGemara, Rashi and Tosafos on every scheduled Kollel day.
A review system that lastsClarity, retention and measurable long-term achievement.
RESPECT FOR THE AVREICH

Valued as scholars. Supported as families.

Our responsibility to each avreich is not limited to a seat and a stipend. We want him to feel respected, valued and supported as a serious ben Torah. The Kollel pairs high expectations with meaningful financial recognition, Yom Tov gifts, and special rewards for achievement beyond the regular stipend.

SEDER 01 Planned

Morning Seder — Halacha B’Iyun

The goal is deep and practical understanding of Halacha while covering substantial ground. Avreichim will be encouraged to prepare concise written summaries, give chaburos and take periodic tests that make review and retention possible.

SEDER 02 Operating now

Afternoon Seder — Gemara, Rashi & Tosafos

Our currently operating seder runs 2:45–6:45 PM, with an approved flexibility window. The pace is one daf per Kollel day, with focused chazarah, summaries, chaburos, monthly tests and cumulative examinations. Incentives encourage responsible progress; avreichim choose review methods effective for them.

The Daf HaKollel learning and testing framework

Dirshu’s Daf HaKollel program features a daf per day, five days a week, with monthly tests. It offers both Gemara–Rashi and Gemara–Rashi–Tosafos tracks, with exam-based grants subject to Dirshu’s rules. This is an external program that can complement the Kollel’s disciplined learning and review.

SEDER 03 Planned

Evening Seder — A Community of Chazarah

The planned evening program will welcome serious avreichim from across Beitar Illit for an organized framework devoted to chazarah, mutual encouragement and enduring knowledge.
