Rav Shais Avraham Horowitz

Raised in Baltimore, Rav Shais Avraham Horowitz learned at Hebrew Theological College, where he studied Shas b’chavrusa with Rosh Yeshiva Rav Avraham Friedman. He later learned in the Chicago Choshen Mishpat Kollel and pursued a decade of intensive Halacha study through the Dirshu Kinyan Halacha program.

A longtime talmid of Rav Shmuel Fuerst, he has delivered shiurim in Daf Yomi, Daf HaShavua, Gemara, Halacha and additional subjects. His own annual review of Shas and interest in durable Torah knowledge led to practical systems of accelerated review, including AnkiDaf.

His Maareh Halacha kuntresim organize substantial areas of Shulchan Aruch for clarity and review. He serves as Rav of K’hal Adas Yeshurun in Beitar Illit and has established a range of Torah-learning and community initiatives.
